Certifications and Accreditations
Our Certifications and Accreditations: A Reflection of Our Daily Work
At VERTE and Clínica CEM, since 1989 we have pursued a very clear objective: to do things as well as possible.
Ensuring that all the components of a clinical, surgical, and highly technological institution work in harmony is no easy task. Only then can two fundamental goals be achieved: top-tier medical outcomes and fully satisfied patients.
To reach that goal, we have learned there is an essential path: analyze how we work, identify what we can improve, and implement ongoing changes. On that journey, certifications and accreditations have become a key tool.
They are not only a seal that demonstrates to our patients that we meet high quality standards, but also a challenge that pushes us to renew them, surpass them, and aspire to even more demanding ones.
If you would like to learn about the accreditations we have achieved, we explain them here. It may sound dense, but it will help you understand how complex it is to manage a modern clinic and, above all, the satisfaction we feel when we see how each year we improve a little more.
ISO 9001:2015
ISO 9001:2015 is probably the most widely recognized quality standard in the world. It focuses on ensuring that an organization manages its processes efficiently, with a single end in mind: patient satisfaction (or customers, in other sectors).
In practice, this certification ensures that everything operates according to a method, that we leave nothing to chance, and that we always pursue continuous improvement.
Its main objectives are:
- Put the patient at the center: understand and respond to their needs, providing services that truly enhance their experience.
- Optimize processes: work in an orderly way, identifying and refining each stage of care.
- Anticipate risks: not waiting for problems to arise, but preventing them.
- Continuously improve: applying the PDCA cycle (Plan, Do, Check, Act) to achieve relentless growth.
- Comply with the law: it is not enough to do things well; all applicable regulations must also be followed.
ISO 7101:2023
This is a very important development. ISO 7101 is the first international standard designed exclusively for healthcare and is intended to replace ISO 9001 in the health sector.
Its approach goes far beyond efficiency: it speaks of respect, dignity, safety, equity, and a culture of quality in every aspect of healthcare.
What makes us most proud is that the clinics of the Innova Ocular group were the first in Spain to obtain this certification.
What does ISO 7101 seek to achieve?
- Improve the quality of patient care, with personalized and safe attention.
- Make processes more efficient and reduce waiting times and errors.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and the safety of patients and professionals.
- Promote healthcare staff satisfaction by clarifying roles and creating a motivating work environment.
ISO 14001:2015
This standard is not about patients—it is about the planet. ISO 14001 certifies that an organization manages its environmental impact responsibly.
In our case, it means we work to reduce the ecological footprint of our activities, comply with environmental legislation, and move towards a more sustainable clinic.
EN 179003:2013
This European standard focuses on patient safety. It does so through risk management: identifying, assessing, and minimizing risk before a problem occurs.
With this approach, adverse events are reduced and the capacity to learn from experience is continuously improved. In short, it ensures that safety is not an add-on, but the heart of care.
QH (Quality Healthcare) Recognition
This recognition, awarded by the Instituto para el Desarrollo e Integración de la Sanidad (IDIS), honors organizations that have consolidated quality management systems and patient safety.
It is a seal of trust and prestige that validates our commitment to excellence and encourages us to keep improving. It is not just an award: it is a reminder that a culture of quality must be part of the DNA of any healthcare organization.
Thank You for Trusting Us
Behind every certification and accreditation is a human team that is committed, that listens, that learns every day, and that never settles for the minimum.
At VERTE, we continue working with the same enthusiasm as on the very first day and with the conviction that caring for your vision always deserves our best effort. Because doing things well is not enough: we aim to do them as well as possible—for you.
